The Newburgh Pottery’s Re-Opening Precautions and Guidelines

The Newburgh Pottery reserves the right to withhold service from any person not compliant with any of these precautions.

  • To limit the flow of traffic in our space, classes still remain to be on hold. Only Studio Members have access to the space at this time.
  • Private lessons are still available by appointment for up to 2 people.
  • A limit of 5 Members/Students in the space at one time. A Google Calendar will be accessible to all members, where they can sign up for a time slot in advance if they wish.
  • Masks must be worn if there is more than 1 person in the studio at a time. No exceptions.
  • The Newburgh Pottery will have a ready supply of masks available.
  • Wash/Sanitize your hands upon arrival. The Newburgh Pottery will have hand sanitizer available by our front door, and soap/paper towels in the bathroom.
  • Sign-in sheet by the door. Everyone entering the studio must sign in, to aid with contact tracing if need be.
  • Bring your own tools/towels/aprons. These items will no longer be provided for communal shared use.
  • Social Distancing. With a strict 5-person limit, we can ensure that everyone has room to comfortably work and maneuver around while maintaining a minimum of 6 ft from each other. In addition to a limitation on studio occupancy, we will limit how many people are in each area of the studio at one time.
  • Disinfect before leaving. Commercial disinfectant spray will be provided at all times for members to spray down their area and any surface they came into contact with before leaving. This spray is rated as effective against Covid-19, and can be sprayed and allowed to air dry.
